Sadly disappointed
For months I have followed the reviews and discussions here about this game. I just knew that this was a game that I had to get. I finally was able to purchase it today and I was so excited about it. How quickly that changed. I am so disappointed...and very frustrated. After playing for a few minutes I changed the settings to where it only registered every other step, and I switched it so that I would not lose a chip for missing a step. That helped since my character on the screen takes three or four steps, stops, stands there for several seconds, takes a few more steps, stops, etc., etc., all while I am continually walking away in real life. Before I changed the settings I was constantly losing all of my chips. This, on top of the fact that it is extremely hard to click on the capsules while you are moving or to know exactly what you are doing, makes it so frustrating. I walked past colored bubbles, clock faces, and CD-looking things along with the regular capsules, and had no idea what any of them were for. I clicked on some of them and still don't know what they are for. Nothing is explained to you. The same song keeps playing over and over. What a waste. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a game. That's probably because I had such high hopes for this. Maybe walking in place in front of a TV trying to control an unresponsive character, clicking on capsules that seem to do nothing, all while listening to the same song over and over might be fun for some people. But it's not for me.

Fun, Low Impact Game
The graphics on this game are gorgeous. The music is okay, but some of the songs are not my favorites; still, I can handle them when I focus on picking up the beat. I love clicking on the capsules and building things. This game is not challenging at all for me; however, I would highly encourage people just starting an exercise program to try it.

Getting me walking
Since many have written about what it is like, I will just give a personal anecdote. I started walking with this about two weeks ago. I have been walking every day. This is remarkable since I don't like to exercise and this is keeping me interested. I found a Walk it Out! facebook page and the support from the group is great. For those who are having difficulty getting started, go to the facebook page as one friend has given all kinds of great hints and helps on making the game worthwhile. I look forward to a sequel.

In addition, my kids are getting interested and we can walk together. Great for ways to spend quality time with tweeners!

Walk It out
I was looking for a game I could use to exercise that wouldn't be hard on my knees. I love this game. Having arthritis and fibromyalgia it is hard to exercise. I burned off 581 calories the third day. Time flew by. This game should be on the shelves in every store in the sports section.
This is my all time favorite for exercise. a ten plus.

I hope there is Walk It Out II
This is the first product that has really helped me to look forward to exercise and kept me going without complaint. I walk with something to look forward to, and sometimes find it hard to stop. It takes a couple of sessions to really catch on, but since time is still flying by, what difference does that make? Learning is fun. I think this product is great. My only concern is what happens when I have completed my island???? I just have to hope that there will be a second game.
