Not so good
The game doesn't track well with your movements, making it frustrating to use. Spend a little more and get the EA Sports Active-More Workouts--which is well worth the cost. 2010-07-19

Has Potential..save your $$
I was very excited when I saw the preview for this game... The price was right too. I popped it in and noticed the graphics are a bit well, cheap. I started my first work out of step aerobics and really enjoyed it. Then it moved on to cardio boxing. What a clunky, poorly made game. It barely recognized moves, and if you don't do a move correctly during the demonstration it makes you do it over and over and over and over and over again- until the game feels you've done it properly...which would be fine if I was actually doing the move incorrectly- but again- the game doesn't recognize movement the way it should. I figured I would just do the step which is what I got it for anyway...yeah..how I wish.. It has a "squat" move in it - which for whatever reason it doesn't think I do it right, it's a squat.. I've done it on the wii board, off the wii board..it doesn't care..refuses to recognize that I've done it. I'm done with this game, It's going on Ebay tomorrow. I'd rather do the boring step aerobic "class" & cardio boxing on EA Sports and Wii Fit Plus for 20 minutes.. the graphics, music and recognition is far better.
This game does have a lot of potential..they need to do a lot more work on it..

extremely disappointed
I thought the graphics were very "cheesy" as compared to other Wii fitness games. Not a hard workout at all. The training sessions were tedious and didn't register making it very frustrating. 2010-07-14

I love the DVD version, but the Wii game isn't as good & burns far fewer calories
I happen to be a fan of the Gold's Gym Wii fitness game that concentrates heavily on boxing--because it's a great calorie burner. I also have the DVD version of this(there is a non-Wii version of this Wii fitness "game") and I love it. I tend to buy most fitness games that come out for the Wii and most are good or great...this, however, isn't one I'll keep.
While some may buy a Wii fitness game for fun of the game or health reasons, let's face it--many of us want them for the calorie burn (which relates to the health benefits as well.) I wear a bodybugg to measure my daily caloric burn. I mention this only so you know when I discuss calories burned it's based on scientific measurement rather than perceived exertion. Wearing this allows me to not only see how many calories I burned during a workout in comparison to other workout games and DVDs I own, but also how much it boosted my metabolism/caloric burn the rest of the day. (Such as in strength training where you burn fewer calories during the workout, but continue the burn after your workout is over.) Due to the slow nature of this game, it was one of my lowest calorie burners.
I have many of the 10 Minute Solutions DVDs and I have found many to be excellent including the regular DVD version of this one, but also many that burned no more than a regular workout so that a mere 10 minute workout burned very few calories for me...this was, unfortunately, one of the ones that fell flat.
The DVD version burned FAR more calories in the same amount of time, was less expensive, and less frustrating. The DVD version comes with great weighted gloves that I use in many of my other workouts to give me a great arm workout and it ramps up the caloric burn and builds more muscles. When I played the game version, it lagged in reading my movements and was slow, resulting in less burn, less results, and less energy output.
It felt, to me, that perhaps the "10 minute Solution" franchise jumped aboard the Wii game bandwagon due to the success of some of the workout games. However, this needs some tweaking to make it work and give you the results needed. They have some great fitness items and workouts but I can't personally count this one among them.
I hope to see more Wii fitness games from the company but I'll wait next time to try it out prior to purchasing...and I'll stick with the fitness DVD version by the same title that offers more for less...more calorie burn, more toys with the weighted gloves you can use in any workout, and more results. This one I'll give away.

Cumbersome, Slow, Frustrating
I really like some of the fitness options that utilize the wii, however, this is not one. To begin, you can choose a quick start option, custom workouts, or set up your own fitness plan. I went to custom workouts which require you to go through a training session before you 'play'. Quite honestly, this is not a fun game--it is slow, my movements do not read well, and I never raised my heart rate, much less broke a sweat.
You do have some choice of aerobic games (which have nothing to do with cardio boxing) as well as some core work.
I am not impressed with this 'game'. I would rather work out with a fitness DVD; at least it would be more effective.
