New Super Mario Bros

I played this game when I was a little school boy. This updated version surely brought back those old days when we hummed the tunes from the game all day. Now I am playing with my two sons on weekends. A lot of fun and strategic thinking... I must say that I am too old for some jumping tricks to get by some of the hurdles.

We bought this for my husband for father's day, but currently my son hasn't stopped playing it. He says it's better than the DS version, because you can get different kinds of powers (i.e. ice, flying) and power up panels. If you go into a different mushroom house you can get star power and you can spin in parts of the game, which you cannot do on the DS version. This is coming from a 7 year old who LOVES his DS version! He would pick the Wii version over the DS any day. He says it's just a lot more fun! So if you're thinking of getting this for a child, I say go for it! I'm not sure for an adult. I assume my husband will enjoy it, he likes many other Mario games...so once he's had a chance to play it, I can add his review as well.

We got this for me and my four year-old son to enjoy together. While the game is a fun platformer for me, it is unfortunately much too difficult for my son. He enjoys watching most of the time but sometimes the peril is too much for him.

Great fun and great price-much less than you can find it locally. It took longer than expected to arrive, two weeks, but well worth it!

If you like Mario then this is practically a must-have. In my opinion it's more difficult than the old version on SNES. I kept dying! But now they have up to 4 players which sounds fun, though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
