Wii Charge Station

I bought this around Christmas to go with the Wii the boys would be receiving. While it has worked, it's not easy to use. We took the wrist bands off the Wii-motes to try to get it a better connection. It was such a pain to try to get it seated just right and see the magical green light appear, indicating it was seated properly. I ended up replacing it with the Wii Energizer Flat Panel 2x Induction Charger. With that one, you don't have to remove the Wii-mote from the silicone jacket to charge it. If you're using Wii MotionPlus, you don't have to remove that, either. You just lay it face up on the panel where indicated, and it charges. Sooo easy. Hopefully that one holds up, but wanted to review this one in the meantime.

I've seen some negative reviews here and there and thought I'd chime in since I've had this item for about 2 1/2 years. If the Wii is not being used, my two Nintendo WiiMotes LIVE on this charger. I've never had a single problem, and I can't recall the last time we ran out of charge... even after an 8 1/2 hour Super Mario Bros Wii marathon during which we had to replace the batteries on both Nyko backup controllers. I'll be buying another one of these in the near future. Great product!

This charge station is OK, but I'd recommend the Wii Dual Charge Station & Turbo Cooler. It has the charger, plus a cooling fan, and takes up less room.

Some people say that this charger is a hassel because when you have the string hanging from the bottom of the Wii remote, it gets in the way of charging. Well, I say, just take the string off (which is what I did) and just charge it! It charges very fast, and the batteries last so much longer. This is a great price for everything that you get; you won't have to waste money on batteries that don't even last half as long as these rechargeables. Overall great product.

This is not a good charger. It does not hold the same type of charge as my other station for the Wii. After the remote is charged it still does not have full battery life. I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend.
